“Billboard GAN” makes a literal use of machine learning to study on an specific style of architecture from which to generate design outcomes. The project, as a means to contextualize with its immediate site, is inspired on the architecture of Oscar Niemeyer. Niemeyer’s famous columns are shape-oriented, and hence, very adequate to study trough AI. An augmented 500+ elevation image dataset was developed to work with real-time 2D and 3D GAN workflows.
